TESLA / Five Man Acoustical Jam (1990)

The only Tesla album I can tolerate. I dislike them usually, but Five Man Acoustical Jam is different. It's what the title says it is, and more. Imagine a party at your house, with your musical friends in the corner having a laugh while playing some great covers. Everyone gets happy-drunk and there's sing-a-longs that no one remembers the next morning. The mistakes and dropped notes are there for all to hear and it becomes part of the show. The recording is a great acoustic set by a bunch of musicians – I can't say more than that.

Songs of Note: Signs; Lodi

3½ (the cover songs are the best) out of 5
