The Eden House is one of those revolving door ‘super-group’ projects. It has three permanent members: former Fields of the Nephilim bassist Tony Pettitt, Andy Jackson (Pink Floyd engineer, and Elizium producer) and Steven Carey (This Burning Effigy). It sounds exactly like you’d imagine it would with those guys attached. Simon Hinkler (The Mission) lends his guiter, as do Valenteen, Amandine Ferrari, and Meghan Noel-Evans on vocals.
Its cut from a very traditional Gothic template, it’s ethereal and dreamy, skilfully played and slickly produced but ultimately mostly safe and predictable.
