BUSH - The Sea Of Memories [2011]
After a dismal try at fronting Institute with Helmet's Chris Traynor and a boring solo record, pretty-boy Gavin Rossdale returns to his '90's grunge rock outfit: Bush.
With the release of two mediocre records in a row it seemed Bush would never again reach the same type of quality as heard on '96's Razorblade Suitcase. Riddled with silly nonsensical lyrics, heavily processed guitars layered over each other and making no attempt to fit into the present day music scene, Bush somehow manages to somewhat entertain again.
It's not great music or really all that original but it's pleasant enough to this music-lover that grew up with Nirvana, R.E.M. and The Pixies.
