Not as good as the brutal assault that the next album,
Vulgar Display of Power (1992), would be,
CfH is nevertheless worthy of the
Pantera name.
Anselmo has yet to exorcise all traces of the ear-splitting screech in his vocal delivery, but the chug-chug of the guitars gives us something to focus on besides it. It has a few guitar solos that don't really go anywhere interesting, but nothing that makes me cringe. It was a solid step in the right direction, but is far from a classic.
