POLKADOT CADAVER / Sex Offender [2011]

Polkadot Cadaver's first album, Purgatory Dance Party, sounded more like the remaining bits and pieces of a Dog Fashion Disco record thrown together, their second album Sex Offender is much more of a cohesive listening experience. While it still is pretty schitzy and disgusting, this seems more listener friendly than anything Todd Smith & Co. have put out so far. Well, as far as listener friendly songs about serial killers, molestation and creepy perverts go.
Approach PDC as a demented synth-punk band and not the avante-garde metal band, like most people seem to call it and you'll find it much more enjoyable. This album grew on me like rotten toilet scum and that's just fine with me.
