IGORRR / Nostril [2010]

"Like a stark raving lunatic beginning to make sense" is the best way I can describe Igorrr's Nostril album in one sentence. Originating from France, Gautier Serre's breakcore project is part chamber music, part baroque, part death metal and part gross.
The great part about Igorr, unlike it's breakcore peers, is it never takes itself too seriously. In fact I'll bet Serre was laughing himself silly the whole time he was recording this auditory attack. It's offensively beautiful and constantly evolving into something completely different and loud.
This deeply layered and precisely timed what-the-fuckery isn't for everybody but those who can enjoy it are in for real treat.

I like this. Cruciform Dachshund sounds like Pantera put through an industrial blender.
