Industrial Trip-hop, or something like that.
Ruby were kind of unique, which maybe explains why they never really got out of the ditch they were unfairly put in. The lazy Trip-hop beats are married to light Industrial guitars and droning distorted bass, at times reminiscent of
Garbage.
Salt Peter, their first album, had potential and I think could've been the basis of a formidable live experience, but on record it's a little tame and not as snappy as it needed to be to really shine.
