PINK FLOYD / The Final Cut [1983]

Pink Floyd's The Final Cut is the unspoken of epilogue to their double album masterpiece The Wall. It's like the manic, melodramatic rants of a man who's just been emotionally gutted and is trying to piece himself back together.
Waters sneers, cries and coldy releases every bit of sourness and hatred over an amazing sound design complimenting the intensely emotional music. It's a little outdated at times but is still a proper closure to the second half of the Pink Floyd legacy and one of the my 10 desert island albums.

It must have been hard to pick two tracks from this to use as an example, They are all fantastic. 5 from me as well.

it's effectively a roger waters solo album. i mean, no wright, and gilmour and mason were basically session players with no creative voice by this point. "not now john" is my fave track

There were 4 I would've have used.

The two I picked and "One Of The Few" and "Your Possible Pasts".

The two I ended up using just happen to be part of the same video. :p

I had that solo album thing in it...but it ultimately got cut. Another review that was chopped into tiny bits.

Funny..."Not Now John" is my least favorite.

I think Not Now John is a kind of anomaly on this album. Had it been placed anywhere except near the end it would have ruined the flow. It's a great track but the least fitting.

Don't get me wrong. I still think it's a great song. If I didn't the rating would be a 4 or 4.5.
